Fancy a Little Smackerel?
Spring is here and it has brought a new dessert to the pastry case! Introducing the Smackerel.
The Smackerel is The Do Good Kitchen’s version of a rugelach. A rugelach is traditional Jewish pastry originating in Poland and central Europe. These “little twists” or “crescents” are a specialty of Hanukah and Shavuot. Traditionally the dough has a cream cheese component, but we use our signature pie crust to make these little bites.
We will be retiring the Pumpkin Ricotta Cheesecake for the time being. Until next fall when the pumpkin spice will flow again!
Check back soon for more menu changes. Farmer’s markets open in May!
